Jordan D. Brown

Jordan D. Brown is a budding multimedia journalist emerging in the media industry. She was born and raised in Bowie, Maryland—located in Prince George's County. In December 2024, Jordan graduated from New York University with a master's degree in journalism. She graduated from Morgan State University in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in multimedia journalism.

Jordan currently serves as a news associate at CNN where she performs newsgathering tasks for multiple desks across the newsroom. In her years of journalism, she reported at CNN, The Washington Post, The Baltimore Sun, USA Today, and Patch through the Dow Jones News Fund. During her undergraduate years at Morgan State, she rose to the top position as editor-in-chief at Morgan State’s university newspaper, The Spokesman, while also serving as Vice President of the university’s NABJ chapter. At NYU, she led her specialization's student-led news outlet, Pavement Pieces, as co editor-in-chief.

Some highlights of Jordan's career so far are interviewing President Joe Biden, Governor Wes Moore, Pete Buttigieg, the cast of All American: Homecoming, and winning the NABJ Student Journalist of the Year award in 2023.

In September 2025, she launched The Run Down with Jordan Brown - a cross-media platform that broadcasts profiles on professionals in arts, media, sports and more while keeping readers abreast on the news of the world.

​Outside of journalism, she enjoys watching women's basketball, binge watching reality TV and spending time with her family.
